Hallelujah! As hurricanes in 2005 were the result of God's wrath, and we've had no hurricanes hit the U.S. this year, it is gloriously clear that we've made up with the Lord. Make-up weather is always the best.

I expect to hear more on His pervasive affection for our country from Robertson and company any day!

Any day, now.

... hello?

As we approach that most holy of seasons, I must share one of the Lord's many miracles with you all.

Call it Easter in December.

We've been scrutinizing our own beloved canine companions, but so far their sanctified hindquarters have failed to reveal the Prince of Peace.

What do I do as a 6-month reward? Dunno! Post your ideas here. Only 15 days left!

You may be familiar with Anthony Bourdain and his extreme food type shows on various cable networks. He's made a career out of sampling wildly varying cultural cuisine, and is an entertaining read when he's been interviewed.

Here's his piece on what happened when he and his crew went to Beirut to do a show on the city's renewed culinary scene.

Superman Returns: Ok. Too long.
Pirates 2: Suffers a bit from middle-movie syndrome. Too long. Entertaining.
Devil Wears Prada: Fun flick. Irritating season-1-of-alias boy/friend characters.

The moral minority's ability to put rational thought and legitimate health concerns aside in the interest of hypothetical "moral" harm never ceases to astound and appall.
